Two simultaneous technical issues are currently affecting our A330 fleet: the first is due to persistent odours of oil, and the second is due to damage to one of the blades on one of the engines.
For several days now, our technical teams have been working continuously on both aircraft to ensure they meet the safety standards required for them to be returned to service.
As a result, our long-haul flight schedule is experiencing significant disruption, and we find ourselves in a rare and difficult situation for both our passengers and our staff. This may involve significant delays, unplanned waiting times, and travel in a class of service other than that originally chosen.
However, we would like to assure you that we are doing everything possible to ensure you reach your destination as quickly as possible and in the safest conditions, despite the inconvenience caused.
We are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused by this situation, and are fully aware of the impact this may have on your journeys.
Our sales teams are doing everything in their power to accommodate each of our customers and ensure their transport, whilst maintaining Evasan services and urgent cargo flights.
Since last week, the company has implemented all possible solutions:
- Ensuring the re-routing of affected customers via alternative itineraries and other airlines, despite the limited availability of seats due to the August school holidays
- Since last weekend, we have been seeking a temporary charter solution with authorised airlines – a process made difficult by the peak season in the Northern Hemisphere – which is currently being organised
- We are regularly issuing updates to our customers via our website and the media : next update today at 6 pm
- We have increased the telephone support available to you
- Arranging for customers to be looked after at the airport (transfers, accommodation, half-board) or the subsequent reimbursement of any expenses incurred
We would like to remind you that all our regional flights are operating as normal.
In the event of an emergency concerning our long-haul flights, you can contact our sales teams:
- Nouméa: +687 26 55 00
- Paris: +33 01 78 09 08 09
- Bangkok: 02-000-7662
- Sydney: +61 (02) 9264 4866 and 1300 655 737
For non-urgent complaints, a system is already in place: simply complete the form available on our website.
Each complaint will be investigated and a response provided; however, given the scale of the disruption, we are unable at this stage to commit to a specific response time.
We would like to reiterate our sincerest apologies and thank you very much for your patience.
